  1. ASA brother,
Here are some of the last words of our beloved Porphet Muhammad pbuh (from many seerahs):
His (pbuh) lips vibrated as if he wanted to say something, Ali took his ear close to Rasulullah (S.A.A.W).

‘Uushiikum bis shalati, wa maa malakat aimanuku – take care of the saalat and take care of the weak people among you.’

      • ASA Br. Khalid:
Here is the reference for the basis of Pakistan as an Islamic state it is called “The Pakistan resolution”:The Lahore Resolution (Qarardad-e-Lahore قرارداد لاھور), commonly known as the Pakistan Resolution (قرارداد پاکستان Qarardad-e-Pakistan),[1] was a formal political statement adopted by the Muslim League on the occasion of its three-day general session on March 22-24, 1940 that called for the creation of ‘independent states’ for Muslims in British India. The constituent units of these states were to be autonomous and sovereign. This was later interpreted as a demand for a separate Muslim state, Pakistan.[2] The resolution was presented by A. K. Fazlul Huq. (taken from Wikipedia)
As for the Rasools words ” They are documented in any of the books on Seerah.
        Hope that helps/

      • ASA, Brother Faizan, If you read the original history of Mohammad Ali Jinnah he changed from being a congressite to Muslim League because he saw the oppression of the muslims with the British and then with the Hindus and he feared that Muslims would never get their rights in “secular” Hindustan.
If you listen to his speeches it is clear that Pakistan was going to be an Islamic state.
The referendum that was done by the British was also along these lines. All the muslims came out to vote for Pakistan as a muslim state even those in places like south india who knew that they would never be a part of it.
If Pakistan was going to be secular there was no need to have a separate state, they could have lived under Hindustan. However their religious rights would be severely impaired.
        Allah knows best.
