One of the preserved Qurans in the museum of art in Istanbul

Asalaam o alaikum A,

I begin with the name of Allah who is the Highest and most Powerful and takes care of all of us rain or shine. I send salaams on our Beloved Prophet Muhammad peace and blessings be upon him.

Alhamdulillah you have been blessed with one of his names and may it enlighten your path to Allah as it did for him (pbuh)

Mashallah by the grace of Allah you have memorized the Quran which is a special gift that Allah bestows on the very special.

How will you continue to keep these sacred words in the recesses of your mind, body and soul is a secret no one knows except by what Allah decides when He sees how much you want to hold on to His words and obey them.

The men and boys of the Suhbha line up for Salah on one of our excursions outside Konya

On this auspicious milestone in your life, I have three duas for you:

  1. Your desire, ability and perseverance in memorizing the QURAN AL KAREEM has bestowed crowns on the heads of your honorable parents ( May Allah bless them and preserve them with the best in this dunya and Akhirah). The crowns are a gift from Allah to them (your parents) and await them in Jannah (inshallah). May your children do the same for you!
  2. You are entering the first steps from a boy towards becoming a man. My prayer is that you always keep your eyes on the goal as you go through the marathon of life and that you get up immediately if you stumble and fall. I pray that if you get distracted by the beauty of the people and the world around you, that you Thank Allah with sincerity and humility and keep going with your eyes on the goal of being blessed with the opportunity to be in the presence of Allah with his His goodwill and blessings. Where else could that be except in the beautiful gardens of Jannah.
  3. The recitation of the Quran on the Day of Judgment is like an elevator, the more you have memorized the more your elevator to Jannah will continue to rise. I pray that you continue to keep the Quran in your mind, brain and soul and on the Day of Judgment as your recite and your elevator rises upwards to the highest levels of Jannah that you give a hand to your parents and keep me in mind to help me ascend the levels of Jannah only by the Grace and Mercy of Allah.

Please keep me in your prayers with a special one for me for memorization of the Quran in the way that pleases Allah. May the Quran remain on your lips and in your heart always!

One of the sentinel Surahs that your father reminds us of often:

  1. MashaAllah! Loved reading this and knowing that the words of Allah etched on the hearts of those who memorize the Quran will not only elevate that person but their parents as well on the day of judgement..what an honor SubhanAllah!

The beautiful recitation of Surah Al Duha that you posted in the end is an encouragement and an answer for those who are looking for the formula for success! Given to us by Allah swt…

    • Dear sister Hina, thank you for the beautiful encouragement that lies in your comment.
Yes, the beauty and giving by the Quran goes on till eternity. May Allah bless us with the ability to recite it, understand it and live by it. I remain in need of your duas.
      JazaikAllah hu Khairan
