Star Jasmine: subtle in fragrance, delicate in appearance and survives the tribulations of climbing on uncertain edifices…….a lot like my mother, may Allah grant her Jannat ul Firdous e Aalaa!
I remember her everyday, but for today I am extremely grateful to Allah Subhanawataala that he brought her into this world, and she left it in a much better state than what she found it on the entrance to this world.
One of the methods of honoring your parent after death among other things is to become a righteous child……..so in my attempt to be on the path of the righteous I am studying the tafseer of the Quran and in it Allah Subhanawataala speaks of the amazing place of Honor called……….”Muqaam e Mahmudah”
Thus her name take from the words of the Quran in an attempt to reach the highest level of ebadah……..and the path to intercession:
وَمِنَ ٱلَّيۡلِ فَتَهَجَّدۡ بِهِۦ نَافِلَةً۬ لَّكَ عَسَىٰٓ أَن يَبۡعَثَكَ رَبُّكَ مَقَامً۬ا مَّحۡمُودً۬ا (٧٩)
And some part of the night awake for it, a largess for thee. It may be that thy Lord will raise thee to a praised estate. (Surah Al Isra: ayah 79)
