WHAT IS THE REWARD OF STAYING AWAY FROM TAGHOOT? ? ZUMAR 39: 17

[39:17] Yusuf Ali

Those who eschew Evil,- and fall not into its worship,- and turn to Allah (in repentance),- for them is Good News: so announce the Good News to My Servants,-

TAFSEER BY DR. FARHAT HASHMI (as I understand it)

WHAT DOES ONE GET IF ONE RECOGNISES AND AVOIDS TAGHUT?

Those who kept avoiding skirted the Taghoot.

Taghoot is from Tughyaan which means headstrong” these are usually used for humans an jinns

Abdul Qayyim al Jawzi says”Taghoot is all those people who push the envelope of disobedience who exceed the limits of disobedience and wants to be obeyed over and above Allah our Creator. In other words they by demanding obedience over and above Allah they want to become a god who should be obeyed and worshipped.

It is also and all those things that stop people from obeying and ibadah of Allah and call them to themselves to obedience over and above.

Those who demand obedience in competition against Allah and those who say do not obey Allah obey me whether that is a parent, a teacher or  a scholar (or a spouse) those are taghoot.

WHY IS SHAYTAAN AND HIS INFLUENCES ARE CALLED TAGHOOT

Shaytaan is usually called Taghoot, because he had disobeyed Allah and refused to do sajdah, which is the epitome of obedience in ibadah.

THE REWARD OF STAYING AWAY FROM TAGHOOT

Here Allah speaks of what he will give us if we avoid those people things and activity that competes with Allah (as this leads to shirk). Those who remained away from these taghoot and those who turned towards and moved towards Allah, obeyed Him and kept coming back to Him Subhanawataala, for them there is GOOD NEWS (Bushra) Bashar is that kind of good news that makes every cell of your body happy and is evident externally from the face and skin

Yunus 64

[10:64] Yusuf Ali

For them are glad tidings, in the life of the present and in the Hereafter; no change can there be in the words of Allah. This is indeed the supreme felicity.

DEFINATION OF ” BUSHRA” IN DUNYA

The Bushra (good tidings) given in Dunya is:

a human is given the tawfiq for amal e saleh, gratitude, and ibadah

Tawfiq is a gift of good news that Allah puts in the heart of His ebad due to which feeling he or she starts doing good deeds.

The Bushra at Akhirah is Jannah and Allah’s company

One meaning of Bushra is that one gets good naik company because when one is with people who do good things and speak good things then when one gets up from such gatherings ones heart is full of happiness.

Allah gives these environments to those who have been given Bushra

Another meaning is that people who love Allah love these people.

Hadith “ One will be in Jannah with the person one loves”

Thus one who loves Allah and His Rasool pbuh and we love them then we will be with them on the Day of Judgment (Bushra in Akhirah)

True good dreams are also Bushra (mubasharaat).

Appreciation of a good deed done fi sabillallah (different from getting popular through lies on the media and transmission of a persona which has not reality).

If the intention is not to get compliments and if a person gets the appreciation that is a “Bushra” from Allah.

This is a Bushra in dunya!

Who gets this Bushra? The one who purifies himself or herself fro Allah and says LA (NO in Arabic) to everything demanding obedience except Allah and His Rasool pbuh.

The human being is a personification of repeated mistakes but if he or she goes back to Allah again and again then the Bushra is for them.
