Surah Mominoon: 23:45-48
Then We sent Moses and his brother Aaron, with Our Signs and authority manifest (45) To Pharaoh and his Chiefs: but these behaved insolently: they were an arrogant people. (46) They said: “Shall we believe in two men like ourselves? And their people are subject to us!” (47) So they accused them of falsehood, and they became of those who were destroyed (48)

In the Quran PHAROAH is described as:
FAS TAKBARU: ARROGANCE:BATAARUL HAQ WA GHAMTUN NAAS
Meaning: To feel that people are inferior and refuse to agree with the truth even while understanding it.
When does one deny the truth when one thinks a lot of ones own self. The traditions of the Pharaoh’s reflected extreme advancement in architecture art and culture. This confidence in their accomplishments became the reason for their arrogance.
Many people do not accept the words of Deen, because they feel (like the Pharaohs) that their culture, language and traditions are much more superior because they are currently well entrenched in unshakeable traditions.
However we know from the outcome of the Pharaohs that all the beautiful things made by the Pharaoh’s have survived to give us a lesson, and yet no inheritors survived to carry on the traditions in the disobedience of Allah.
