WHO ARE WE LOOKING AT WITH YEARNING? : 20:131

And strain not thine eyes toward that which We cause some wedded pairs among them to enjoy, the flower of the life of the world, that We may try them thereby. The provision of thy Lord is better and more lasting. (131)

TAFSEER FROM DR FARHAT HASHMI

Do not look in a prolonged manner at the people who have been given the dunya (money and spouses) these are just tests to see what people do when they are given the naimah of dunya. The rizq of this dunya is temporary.

The rizq e Rabbi (spiritual sustenance) given by Allah is more permanent and everlasting.

What ever Allah has given you in this dunya, be happy with it. Have Qanaat, for the best is yet to come and is permanent and forever.

END TAFSEER

  1. Walaikum Asalaam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatahu!

If you are looking for an end point, there is none.

It is a gentle flow, as the love of your child flows into the love of the one who created him and shared him with you for a time.
Through the intense love of your child you will recognize the love of your and his Creator.
It is a process all of us are going through some recognize it quickly and for some like you and me it takes a lot longer…….
May Allah Subhanawataala wrap each parent in his love especially those who had their children for only a short time.

  2. Dear sister,
    Assalamulaikum.
It is easier to sustain deprivation of something that you never had then to bear the loss of someonewho was your wh0le world. I am still trying and trying, but the futiity of my life is so hard to bear. Even after three years of trying and almost total avoience of dunya have not brought the solace that I yearn so much. Is it a sign that I have been totally forsaken?
    Regards
