YUSUFALI: And recite (and teach) what has been revealed to thee of the Book of thy Lord: none can change His Words, and none wilt thou find as a refuge other than Him.
Tafseer by Dr. Farhat Hashmi (translated)
One does not have the power to change the Shariah of Allah. Many other scriptures have been changed, altered by humans, but Allah Subhanawataala has promised that He will safeguard His words in the Quran. His words cannot be changed. If someone does try to change His words, he will be exposed eventually. This is done by the words of the Quran.
Allah Subhanawataala confirms elsewhere in the Quran:
YUSUFALI: Thus do We explain the signs in detail: that the way of the sinners may be shown up.
Surah Al Anaam 115: Perfected is the Word of thy Lord in truth and justice. There is naught that can change His words. He is the Hearer, the Knower.
Surah Baqarah 002.106
YUSUFALI: None of Our revelations do We abrogate or cause to be forgotten, but We substitute something better or similar: Knowest thou not that Allah Hath power over all things?
Allah Subhanawataala says in :
Surah Jinn 072.022 : Say: Lo! none can protect me from Allah, nor can I find any refuge beside Him
Thus if anyone wants to change the Quran, but do not want to change themselves, they have no place to hide, and have no protection from Him (Subhanawataala), neither in the earth nor in the Heavens.
Thus one should not change the Shariah of the Quran to suit his or her own desires in relating them to others to justify their ill actions based on their desires, because if ones does this one has no protection from Allah.
My Take on this:
1. If you know the Quran well , the original word of Allah, then when the fake comes around you will recognize it. However if you or I are heedless then a diamond looks like a piece of Quartz and vice versa.
2. Our Nafs constantly wants to be lazy and modulate Allah’s commands to its desires because it does not want to get up and do them…..the best way to deactivate the Nafs or make it submit to Allah is through lots of Dhikr and Taa’a (obedience of Allah). This has to be done with a constantly vigilant mind and awareness twenty four seven.
Allah knows best!
